While she's excited that she found the truth, she quickly finds out that she is mixed up in a family game where she comes out the loser.

She gets a chance to still make her rent this month by working for the evening in an exclusive club just for shifters. All she needs to do is be an organizer, and oh yeah find a costume for the evening that doesn't show off too much of her behind. The evening is going well so far when who walks in other than the future Earl himself and he's instantly attracted to Mari and if she doesn't watch out her whole life could change in an instant.

This book promotes itself as just a one night story from the "Den", but still I was a little disappointed because I would have liked to have seen it past the one night stage and move into a full novel. It would have been interesting to see where the couple's life moved on from here. Otherwise it was a good story, even if at times the dialog did get a little sappy.

I absolutely love this book!

This story is about a shifter named Mari who is a reporter for the Denver Times, Mari just can not catch a break when she tries to release the truth about Conrad Fisher and gets laid off for telling the truth! She has been put on the black list and no one will hire her. Her best friend Sonya can not stand it and calls in a favor to her boss at the Den (shifter club) because they need help with an upcoming event (speed dating). Mari is so scared because the Den is just not in her element but what can you do when bills need to be paid? Mari finally loosens up once the visitors start to arrive, but who she runs into is a totally different feeling...
Not that great the storyline was boring but I did finish the book hoping it would get better would not recommend it to readers
This is the first book that I have read of the series, but it has me wanting to keep reading. Scorching hot read, love the chemistry between Mari and Conrad....
It was action packed, even though it was a short story. Also, I liked the quirky but spunky heroine. I would recommend this book.

I have to begin by saying that I absolutely loved this book. It was a fun and sexy read that I could not put down. This book is fun, with a well crafted story and a well thought out plot, all which unfold in a smooth and effortless manner. The writing is descriptive and flows well, making this an easy read. All the elements of this story are well thought out and structured to ensure a fast paced book that will keep you turning the pages until the very end. A very entertaining read.
A unemployed reporter fills in at a shifter sex club also hosting a speed dating night. Conrad is an Earl who goes to look for a date for an upcoming charity ball is family is hosting. When he meets Mari working the front desk he knows there is something special about her. She knows he's a playboy and doesn't want to be one of his playthings.
There is a lot if sexual tension that leads up to some hot sex. I was surprised by this short story. It was well written and makes you wish for your own Alpha.
